After various projects that we have done a potential customer contacted us to do something out of the ordinary. Restoration and quotation on a 1972 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK to its original state with customer’s specifications. We went out to view the vehicle and discovered that this Mustang had better days. Many owners are continually maintaining their cars, upgrading them for greater performance, or restoring them to former glory.

The vehicle was rusted and most of the panels were removed. We took on the project but advised the customer that it will take some time for the restoration, as we need to strip the vehicle and establish which panels can be used and which parts and panels needed to be replaced and ordered.

This is an American Muscle car and most of the parts needs to be imported from the USA. All spares were supplied by Brandon from All American Auto in Cape Town who import directly and can be contacted on (021) 551-1343.
We collected the vehicle on 09 February 2016 and started with the work. A lot of hard work and dedication from our team went into the project to restore this vehicle. Every month there was progress on the Mustang, the bodywork was done. Went for primer and then to the spray booth for a dummy coat to be sprayed and to see if all the panels were perfect before we gave the vehicle its final color, Bad Ass Raven Black.

The 351 V8 Cleveland engine was completed and fitted to the engine bay. We fitted Gabriel Technomatic shocks and front disk brakes when you need it most! The wiring of the vehicle was in progress and was completed within two days. A 76mm solenoid performance exhaust system was fitted to the Mustang and sounded insane and wild.
Upholstery to the interior of the vehicle was completed and looked stunning!

Final touches and minor adjustments complimented the outcome of the 1972 Ford Mustang Fastback. Ready at last, we contacted the client to view the vehicle for the first time after we started with the project. The client was excited and took a video of the starting of the vehicle and a test drive was performed. The client was astonished and totally surprised as to what the outcome of the vehicle turned out to be…. “His Dream Car… Finally !”
