A word of warning

We would like to warn fellow car enthusiasts and businesses of Classic Car Windscreens ( Owner: Julien Labutte ). We have had an incident with said supplier whereby incorrect windscreens were supplied, and duly returned, yet no monies refunded. We urge you to be careful when doing business with them as it is at a high risk.

It is unfortunate that these types of things occur but when they do, we feelit is best we share the information with our fellow enthusiasts.

Our team at the grand opening of Coin Park

If you missed the grand opening of Coin Park in Hartenbos, Mossel Bay, then you missed out not only on an event to remember but also on having a chance to look through some exquisite vehicles.

Coastal Customs had a large display of all their latest and greatest projects that have recently been completed, including the 1956 Dodge Custom Royal and the 1971 Cadillac Eldorado. These cars truly are works of motoring art.

If you did miss our display, not to worry! All these vehicles will be on display on our website, and if you would like to have a closer look just give us a call to arrange a viewing.

Join Coastal Customs at the 2015 Knysna Motor Show

Have you ever seen a work of motoring art? Would you like to? Then join Coastal Customs and all the other petrol heads in the area at the the 2015 Knysna Motor Show. We will be exhibiting a number of our custom build and fully restored vehicles, such as our custom 1934 Ford Panelvan and the 1939 Chevrolet Coupe Master Deluxe.

Moreover the motor show – Peter Pretorius, Chairman of the Garden Route Motor Club, invites the public to come and experience the original art of the automobile and motorcycle. The event will take place on Saturday May 9 at the Knysna High School sports grounds located on Waterfront Drive. Gates open to the public from 09:30 to 16:00 and the entrance charge is R30 per adult and children under 18 free.

Over and above all the fantastic veteran / vintage cars, the old and modern classic cars, the educational and motor related stands and the respective franchise dealer new cars on display, a strong focus will be the amazing display of vintage and classic motorcycles, as well as unusual custom motorcycle.

Hope to see you there!

Coastal Customs spends a day with The Parlotones

Coastal Customs recently enjoyed a day out with The Parlotones (who clearly needs no introduction). They spent two days in Mossel Bay with scheduled shows at The Barn, and while they weren’t rocking their fans with their songs, they explored Mossel Bay in two of our cars. First on the list was a tasting at the local craft brewery, which was followed by a quick stop at The Point for a photoshoot with our cars and The Parlotones against the ocean and the lighthouse as natural backdrops. Lunch at Pinnacle Point (and more awesome photographs) followed before they returned to The Barn for their evening performance.

Coastal Customs wants to thank The Parlotones for their positive feedback and obvious enjoyment of our vehicles. We look forward to seeing them again in our beautiful town, and showing them around some more.

Coastal Customs Barnyard Theatre Mossel Bay Photoshoot

Coastal Customs specialises in restoring vintage vehicles and building hot rods and customised vehicles. Some of these gorgeous vehicles were recently photographed at the Barnyard Theatre Mossel Bay, coupled with some stunning local beauties provided by Ace Models.

The Barnyard Theatre Mossel Bay was chosen as the venue for the shoot, as the look and feel worked with the vehicles. With the farm backdrop and of course the rugged-looking buildings, we were able to create an overall “way-back-then” feel with the photographs. The day ran out with a gorgeous sunset, allowing for even more stunning photographs. Then as a completely unexpected bonus, dramatic cloud settings added atmosphere to some of the images.
